Students are asked to write an Ethics Critical Considerations Paper as the major product in the course. Students will be provided the
opportunity to submit a writing draft to their peer and receive feedback, revise and re-submit for the final. Both the draft and final
versions of the paper have points assigned with the greater portion being on the final version. Students will also serve as peer
reviewers of other students’ papers which will help with critical reflection of their own work. Students will work in pairs for this
review. 2000 words
The paper has six parts.
1. Title page in APA format
2. DESCRIPTION: Describe a case study that includes a public health professional ethical issue.
a. Look at your textbook for the best way to describe a case in public health ethics.
b. There are a lot of examples in this area of study. You do not need to make up the case, but if you borrow from another
case study be sure to use proper citation and referencing.
3. EVIDENCE: Present the evidence for both sides of the issue and the potential interventions that are being considered. Be sure
to include the balance between individual and collective interests in the intervention.
4. ANALYSIS: Analyze the evidence presented for both sides (what is missing, strong, weak evidence)
5. CONCLUSION: Clearly state their own position on the issue with justification.
