This is probably the hardest hitting chapter, in my opinion, although chapter 5 was good too.

In this week’s board, post away about matters related to chapter 6. This is probably the hardest hitting chapter, in my opinion, although chapter 5 was good too. This is a continuation of structured inequality and sport, but obviously the focus shifts to race and sport. There is a lot in this chapter– a discussion on how sociologists define and discuss race, power and resource discrepancies by racial-ethnic groups, how sport involvement varies by race, explanations for African American dominance in certain sports, and continued evidence for discrimination against racial minorities in sport.
