Journal entries are ways for you to reflect on new material or your own critical thinking and writing process. No one will see your writing except for the instructor. Your entries should be at least 250 words long (approximately 1/2 page, single spaced) but can be as long as you need address the prompts below. I will NOT deduct points for spelling/grammar/writing issues on any journal entry.
For this week’s online activity, please review the videos on procrastination and productivity and respond to the following:
1) Did either of the videos resonate with you? Why or why not? Did you recognize any of your own patterns of thought or action?
2) What, if anything, did you find helpful or interesting in either video?
3) What are some realistic steps you think you can take to address any issues with time management, productivity, or other work or school-related stress?
4) It can be helpful to frame goals using the SMART paradigm. A goal should be specific, measureable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. So for example, rather than saying, “I will do my stats homework earlier” a SMART goal might be, “I will review my notes and start my stats homework (it’s okay if I don’t finish) immediately after class every Tuesday and Thursday for the next month.” Try framing your goal in #3 within this SMART framework!
