Is the scope of our course.

You must choose one (1) work of art OR literature and must create a website based on the
selected work. (Don’t worry – there are plenty of free websites out there that will fit the bill,
such as WordPress and Wix!)
You should include and image of the art and/or excepts of the work and discuss on the web
site what moves you about the work, what expressions of humanity the work, and why you
consider it art. BE SURE TO CITE YOUR SOURCES!!! The work may be a long-time favorite, a
current work, or something out of your comfort zone that you have discovered. It may even be
something you have created. Vulnerability in sharing is highly valued. Tell us what matters in
your view! And most importantly, be creative and have fun with this project!
This website must be created and shared with the Professor. You will also be required to
provide a 1000-word post on your website that describes your art/literature choice as well as
your rationale for creation.
Your website must be shared with the professor using the free website builder of your choice
(e.g. Wix, WordPress). BE SURE TO LINK BACK TO THE STUDY OF ART IN HUMANITIES WHICH
IS THE SCOPE OF OUR COURSE. Also, while you are not required to use outside sources, if
you use someone else’s work (e.g. the art/literature work), YOU MUST CITE THEM IN MLA
format in your paper and on a Works Cited page. You will need to
post your website URL to the appropriate upload area located in the module folder for Week
11. Please make sure to send the correct URL and that I am actually able to view your website.
If I cannot view it, I cannot grade it.
Failure to meet the MINIMUM requirements on ANY assignment will result in a zero (0) grade
for the assignment(s).
