I wrote the Methodology Chapter and I got feedback from the supervisor.
1- I need to replace the references to be from the key journals in Education and Applied linguistics such as:
Applied Linguistics
*System
*ELT Journal
*Language Learning
*Language Teaching
*Language Teaching Research
*TESOL Quarterly
*Journal of Second Language Writing
*Modern
Language Journal
2- Some subtitles need to be merged to avoid repetition

The
current structure still needs some work. I think you could combine some
sections together to make the writing flow better. For instance, you can
merge Research Paradigm, Research Approach, and Research Methods into one
section. In doing so, you avoid repeating yourself.
In
addition, when you are talking about research methods, put all the
research methods together. Currently, you put sampling in-between case
study and interviews/classroom observations. (REORDER your chapter)
There
are still some issues in your research methods section. You need to
justify your choice of research methods by linking to your research
purposes and research questions, not linking with the theoretical
framework for the study: CHAT. Although you talk about the strengths of
using interviews and classroom observations, where are the weaknesses of
these methods? And how are you going to mitigate these weaknesses in your
own study? I remember I pointed this out at our previous meeting.
Choice
of word: ‘tool’. I mentioned this last time that we don’t use tool to
describe the research method. Just wondering whether there are any particular
reasons that you insist on using this word.
As
case study is the key feature of your research, you need to give detailed
information about the two schools. For details, please see my in-text
comments.
Limitations.
You are expected to discuss about limitations in the Discussion Chapter,
not in the methodology chapter.
