Public health organizations help to increase the health outcomes and conditions to maintain a healthy population. Like any organization its quality is a factor that ensures that standards are met to meet the needs of the consumer. Continuous quality improvement provides infrastructure and culture that involves staff in planning and executing improvements that meets or exceeds expectations (Johnson & Sollecito, 2020). CQI for organizations means that they are always striving to improve systems, process, products, and services for not only the consumer but also for employees. CQI also offers public health organizations quality assurance requirements that meets the standards of the Joint Commission and maintains the or develops competitive advantage to improve services (Cochran,2004). Public health organizations need to need maintain quality levels for programs especially those that are receiving government funding such as Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Quality standards for programs such as these must be met and improve for those using the benefits and providing the service as needs changes over time.
