1.What is the state of sophistication of chatbot AI? i.e., are they sophisticated enough to help students with mental health issues? (I’m sure most people have had very frustrating experiences interacting with chatbots for various companies’ customer service help. To save on labour costs, many companies now use chatbots, but they tend to be very inflexible and sometimes not very helpful.)
2.Ultimately your ideas need to be supported by research evidence — so is there research evidence that mental health support can be provided by chatbots? (If students know they are interacting with a chatbot and not a real person, would it have a negative impact on their level of trust/commitment/etc.?)
3.I’m not familiar with “life crafting” — so make sure whatever that is is based on research evidence demonstrating its effectiveness on helping students (whether emotionally, or academically, etc.).
4. Come up with specific hypotheses associated with particular components of your program. E.g., Chatting with the chatbot will decrease students’ anxiety / improve emotional health (you have to come up with more appropriate hypotheses — the one i’ve given is just a very simplistic one). And then provide research evidence (from psychology, education, and neuroscience research) to support each hypothesis.
5. Provide an example of how the Ai chat bot is interacting with users and how they react (do you have a chatlog handbook/ guideline you reference from)
