Overview
It has been several months since your work with Elite Knowledge Training. The change management process seems to be moving forward positively, and feedback from CEO Mike Harrenton has been very positive. As you arrive to your office and open your email inbox, you see an email from Suzan Watson, the administrative assistant to Terry O’Reilly, president of Terra Nova Consulting. Suzan is requesting that you chat with Terry over the phone. 20 minutes later you find yourself on the phone with Terry. “Listen, I am good friends with Mike Harrenton – he and I did graduate school together – class of ’93 – go Cougars! Anyway, Mike told me about the great work you’ve been doing at EKT. I am in a bit of a difficult situation here at Terra Nova Consulting and I would really appreciate your insights into how we can create some positive changes, here. It’s funny – I’ve been doing consulting for years, and now that I’m in the leadership position I find that I really need an outside perspective.” “Anyway, here is what I am thinking. I was hoping you could come in and do a quick analysis of what is going on here. Just a few days to get a feel for what is happening. Would that be all right? If you could get me a 4-6 page high-level report on your recommendations by the end of this week, along with a 5-7 minute PPT presentation, that would be great.”
