Community Needs Assessment- Community Action of Southeast Iowa
There are numerous ways to conduct a community needs assessment which is a precursor to the design of the program or project you will be developing for your grant proposal. One of the components of conducting a community needs assessment is identifying characteristics of the community that you are examining. Additionally, understanding what a community values is a key step in conducting a community needs assessment.
Please use your selected nonprofit organization (COMMUNITY ACTION OF SOUTHEAST IOWA) to respond to the following:
Identify the characteristics of your target community you should pay attention to when conducting your community needs assessment. In your answer, justify why these characteristics are essential to address.
Explain what values you think might be important to the community your organization’s programs and services targets and the specific communities it will seek to reach through your grant proposal.
What community needs assessment tools will you use in designing and implementing your grant proposal? Explain why you chose these tools and methods.
