The goal of the peer review process is to provide constructive feedback. Here are some strategies for conducting your peer review (“Guidelines for Students”):
Read the entire paper before commenting
Allow yourself enough time to do the review
Don’t comment on every single issue, focus on larger areas such as audience, organization, thesis, etc.
Don’t comment on grammar or punctuation, Point out both strengths and weaknesses
Tell the author questions you had while reading
Be specific in your comments
